I love running in the woods and I always wanted to make a short video about a place that I deeply love : the forest.
Since my "little" 7D is able to produce short videos in 2.5K raw, I thought it was time to make this video.
Pelican's nightly build (Magic Lantern) gives me the opportunity to capture small RAW DNG files in 2.5K with a limit of 59 frames. For now....
Okay, it's not much fun. But I really like the quick cuts. And 59 images was more than enough for what I wanted to achieve. You can also record raw at 1600 x 600 pixels continuously with the last build. But... bad aspect ratio for me and the quality is just awesome in 2.5k...
My workflow was very easy : DNG files -> Import in AE -> Color Correction with Camera Raw -> Encode small compositions with Cineform codec -> Premiere

"But I'll tell you what hermits realize. If you go off into a far, far forest and get very quiet, you'll come to understand that you're connected with everything."
