Got my BMPCC yesterday and took it out for a test. This clip is the result of me getting to know the camera and the lens which is a totally new experience for me. Have perviously worked a lot with DSLRs and AVCHD-cameras and are absolutely blown away with the dynamic range of the BMPCC sensor. The shots at the beginning of the clip is literary the firsts shots I ever made with the camera.
The clip is shot in Stockholm in an undisclosed location at an undisclosed event.
The sound of this clip has not been a priority and is taken in camera without any means of monitoring.
Technical mumbo jumbo for the camera enthusiast:
All takes are shot with the Panasonic 14mm/f2.5, in ProRes, 180°, film setting. Most of the night shots are 1600ASA other shots is 800ASA. Edited in Premiere CS5, color correction and some minor grading with Colorista II.
Although this camera has some serious limitations (batterie life, sound metering, "black hole sun", file handling) I feel this is the beginning of a long lasting love affair. Just need more batteries now... And a faster hard drive... and more RAM... and... and...
