"Unknown Pleasures" was an interactive installation built as a part of our master thesis in Interaction Design at the University of Oslo, in the spring of 2013. The installation worked as a tool for exploring and designing for enjoyable user experience.
The installation was made up of two separate systems, one for audio and one for visuals.
The visual system consisted a Macbook Pro and a Kinect sensor running a Java application, using processing as a library for visual output. Additional libraries used were SimpleOpenNI and toxiclibs.
The audio system consisted of a Macbook Air, an external soundcard and a Kinect sensor, running a Max MSP patch to control audio output through Logic.
