Grow a Pear
a fruit of the Spirit
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Joseph as an example of Longsuffering
Genesis 37:5-11; 18-19; 27-28
Genesis 39:2-4; 20-22
What we learn about Joseph:
1) He never became negative
14Do all things without complaining and disputing,
15that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
2) He never became hopeless
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
3) He never became complacent
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,
that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
