TMN Moche is an established portuguese mobile network operator aimed mainly at teenagers and young people in general. In the summer of 2012 the brand decided to launch a video campaign throughout various mediums; television, web and a strong presence at the yearly summerfestival TMN Sudoeste at Zambujeira do Mar. They approached the production company Gorilla Filmes with the brief to create a 1 minute long TV commercial that reflected the brands values, such as diversity, irreverence and spontaneity. Aiming to develop a melting pot of styles and videoqualities, Gorilla Filmes hired Dialogue Creative Studio to create a short, tradicionally animated, 6 second sequence to be featured in the final spot.
I traditionally animated some elements like the growth for the monster, his tongue and the friends growing out of his mouth. Ricardo Nilsson did a great job keyframe-animating the backgrounds!
