This video documents the piece "We Are Better Volcanoes Than Volcanoes" as it appeared in the exhibition "Humanature" at the La Esquina Gallery, Charlotte Street Foundation, Kansas City, MO.
The piece consists of 300 cubic feet of styrofoam peanuts tat circulate via a drum motor through the vent of a styrofoam peanut volcano form. The purpose for creating this piece is to mimic the amount of CO2 that humans have produced since the beginning of the 1800's, we have (in effect) produced more carbon dioxide than all of the worlds volcanoes did during that time period.
