On November 14, 2012 JD was found on the side of the road and taken to the Houston city pound to be euthanized. A plea was sent out to area rescues and that's when JD began his journey.

He was emaciated, dehydrated and covered in fleas and mange. He had a gaping wound on his front leg, severe heartworms, 2 dislocated hips, and a fractured spine and pelvis.

His body was broken but his spirit was strong...the heart of a lion!

After 11 days in ICU, he was transported to The Pawza where he was fostered by St. Francis' Angels.

Over the next 8 months he fought to get better and stronger. He endured two hip surgeries and 60 days of heartworm treatment.

Today he is a healthy 60 lbs, so handsome and ready to find his forever home!
