You start by building out your myEDmatch profile. If you’re a teacher, you can create a digital resume and teaching portfolio to highlight your experience and accolades through photos, videos, documents, and your own words; and outline the type of school where you want to teach, your geographic preferences, and your willingness to relocate. And if you’re a school leader or recruiter, you create a profile that outlines the mission and culture of your school, some of the challenges you’re facing, and the type of teachers that you’re looking to attract to your school.

Then, both teachers and schools fill out a Core Beliefs Profile, which articulates your educational philosophy about things like mission, instruction, planning, professional development, staff and student culture, and school environment.

Finally, you’re ready to find your perfect match! We’ve developed an algorithm to show you a Match Score that demonstrates how well aligned you are with schools and teacher candidates. Both sides can browse through your best-fit counterparts based on your shared core beliefs, experience, and preferences, or search and sort for the jobs and teacher candidates that best meet your needs.

From there, teachers can express interest in jobs, schools can communicate with their favorite candidates, and continue through the standard hiring process for your schools or district, ultimately landing the right teacher in the right classroom.
