Our returning veterans face countless uncertainties. Many of these young men and women are coming home to find limited opportunities and that life back home is a struggle. With so many returning, there is real concern about where all of these heroes will find work. We need to ensure that veterans come home to a country whose gratitude is reflected in opportunity and that access to a bright future is available to these dedicated, patriotic young men and women. The General Richard B. Myers Veterans Biomedical Equipment Technology Program at MediSend provides such opportunity.
The General Richard B. Myers Veterans Biomedical Equipment Technology Programª is an educational division of MediSend International that applies MediSend's unique Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) curriculum and core expertise to address two key challenges – improving viable job opportunities for our veterans, and ensuring that the U.S. healthcare system will have highly skilled, professional biomedical equipment technicians.
The program includes five months of intensive training and takes place in state-of-the-art biomedical training laboratories and classrooms located in MediSend's Global Education Center in Dallas, Texas. Comparable training typically requires two or more years in a traditional college setting.
The program has a high ratio of instructors to students ensuring individual attention and supervision.
The MediSend BMET curriculum is approved by the US BMET Board of Examiners and the United States Certification Commission.
Graduates leave the program prepared for a career in a growing field and with the advantage of superior, comprehensive training and practical experience.
Tuition is paid through scholarships from corporations, foundations and private donors.

General Myers quote:
"We all share a commitment to repay our veterans for their honorable service with the future they deserve. Veterans know how to work in a team environment. They can bring a sense of leadership and dignity to any organization. MediSend's elite training program will create viable job opportunities and the potential for a lifetime of increased earning power for these men and women. It is an investment in the future for individuals who have served their country and protected our security both here and abroad. Mary Jo and I have long supported the fine work of MediSend worldwide and could not be more proud that the Veterans Program will bear my name."
