Experiment 2 was an experiment on interactive poetry made at Chelsea School of Art in June 2013, under the theme – “Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, the Relations of the Three Female Characters in a Family”. The experiment focused on test programming design, and feasibility of interactive method. Once people walk in front of the screen, what daughter and grandmother are talking to the mother will be displayed immediately on the screen (with voice). When People standing in front of the screen are playing the part of mother. Characters on the screen will be removed if audiences hold their hands up. The more and the faster speed characters are removed, the smaller the voices will be. The production is to reflect the role of the mother in the family to balance needs between daughter and grandmother. People can understand how difficult and hardworking middle-aged woman are in the family. There are some limitations found through the experiment: most audiences focused on the interactive experience other than the connotations of the interactive poetry. They hardly concentrated on text poetry. Therefore, we can hardly achieve the expected result, no matter how funny the interaction part is.
