This is what I call a "Mindful Mandala". I do not use a compass and straight edge because I find it more relaxing to just go with the flow---the idea of sacred geometry still resonates. I simply start by making a dot at the center of a circle. Then I divide the circle by evenly spaced sections. From there, whatever I do to one line or one section, I simply repeat with all the other lines or sections. I begin with conscious breathing in rhythm with my pencil/pen and soon rhythmic breathing becomes automatic. Mindful Mandalas provide instant activity to occupy the left brain, while the right is free to intuit color and notices whatever occurs. Today is a gift, be present.
