This project consists of a new office and operations facility for Woodruff Electric Cooperative in Forrest City, Arkansas.
The 79,000 s.f. facility includes multiple building components to serve the needs of the business. In addition to an approximately 35,500 s.f. office building, there is a 10,000 s.f. warehouse, a 9,600 s.f. vehicle maintenance building, and approximately 24,000 s.f. of vehicle storage, that includes both enclosed and covered parking, for all company vehicles and equipment. The new facility more than doubles the space of the current facility, and allows for the majority of equipment stored outside to be under cover.
The office structure is a conventional steel frame with a mix of brick & stone veneer, and metal panels. The roof is light gauge metal trusses with a standing seam metal roof system. A covered carport extends from the office for 4 corporate owned vehicles to park. The warehouse, truck storage, and maintenance building are pre-engineered metal building structures. Each includes metal wall panels, a standing seam metal roof system, and a blend of masonry veneer or masonry wainscot to help tie in the building to the office design.
Located adjacent to the office, the construction crew vehicle storage is primarily an open, covered parking facility, that also includes two enclosed bays for use during inclement weather. An additional standalone carport provides cover for the remaining service vehicles.
The vehicle maintenance building is a stand alone building that includes a wash bay, and additional storage for equipment.
