Lorna Schmider-Woodcock shares the story behind an item she treasures, a bright yellow jacket that is part of the National Museum of Australia's collection. It's an item that belonged to her godmother, Aboriginal rights activist and academic Jackie Huggins.
As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Lorna says that her godmother's contributions to reconciliation and women's rights have helped change her life for the better.
Lorna is an Indigenous graduate currently working at the National Museum of Australia.
