This was an early roughcut for a series of shorter portraits of vital congregations around the country I produced for the Zacchaeus Project of the Episcopal Church, USA. The shorter version did not include, among other things, the Rev. Anthony Guillén’s own moving story. Guillén went on to become the head of Latino/Hispanic ministries for the Episcopal Church, USA. This was shot largely by Alan Dater (I did some other shooting) and edited by Kate Purdie in 1999. What has happened to All Saints and its members since then has its own lessons to tell. For a follow-up on what happened at All Saints and what Reverend Guillén has gone on to pioneer in the church, see our "Building the New Community" at vimeo.com/44067510.
