On his day off from his job as a group home counselor (Pete), reluctantly takes one of the kids (Ellis) to a funeral. Six months earlier, best friends (Ellis and Dave) went on a seemingly innocent joyride that ended tragically in Dave's untimely death. Now, Ellis is being labeled as a murderer by the community as he struggles with his own guilt about being behind the wheel of the car tha...t ended his best friend's life.
The film's title, So Big!, refers to those milestone moments in a young person's life when a parent or teacher may say, "Look at my big boy! He is growing up and he is so big!"
In this short, each of the main characters go through their own So Big! moments at their different ages and in their different ways. These characters face the reality of growing up, even if they don't think they are ready. Maybe together, they can help each other learn what it means to grow up and to finally feel So Big!
