Patterns with dropped stitches/elongated stitches with different lengths are very popular. In this DROPS video we show how to knit a dropped stitch with 1 yo and then with 2 yo's to get different lengths on the dropped sts.
We have already knitted 1 repeat of each to clearly show the difference:
row 1 is worked alternately K1, 1 YO across.
row 2; K1, slip yo off needle, repeat across.
row 3: worked alternately K1, 2 YO's across.
row 4: K1, slip both yo's off needle, repeat across.
Now it's clearly showing how long the sts will be first with 1 yo, and then with 2 yo's.
