Too often we lead our lives according to binaries, good / bad, right / wrong, and in doing so lose sight of ourselves and the rooted principles that really matter. Toronto Born artist Scott Boniface aims to break this mold of thought in his debut solo show "Aimless" showcasing at the Moniker Gallery in Toronto, September 5th-11th, 2013.
With a fascination for graphic art, design and advertising, Scott has made career in an industry where brand messages, visual trends, and deeply rooted concepts reign supreme. Aimless is about letting go of the story, losing track of the point and getting lost in colour, texture and the abstract. It is a complete departure from concept and finding comfort in the ambiguous and unknown. In a world fueled with by directives, Aimless aspires to create meaning without context.
Scott's work and this show is an embodiment of the abstract thought and he invites you to feel the same.
Opening night entertainment will be provided by R+D
The show will be on until the 11th with 11AM-5PM daily gallery hours.
