Person and Place is an interactive installation exploring human as spectacle, attempting to heighten the user's awareness of their own body and encouraging them to actively engage in their present space. Any person that passes the installation generates a sound composition based on the information captured by their presence. Their movement affects the velocity at which a note is struck; while clothing and general appearance determine the pitch of sounds played. The installation provides a real time 3-dimensional abstraction of its place and inhabitants based on the dispersal of light in the environment.
