One of the most impressive characteristics of Jesus’ ministry was that it attracted crowds. Large crowds. Huge crowds.
People loved to listen to him and thronged to wherever he was, even if it meant traveling a long distance. When Jesus fed the 5,000, we need to remember that only the men were counted. When you add in the women and children who must have been there too, there may have been more than 20,000. No doubt about it, Jesus’ ministry had a magnetic quality about it.
What can we learn from Jesus’ example?
Jesus still attracts crowds. When the power of Christ is manifested in our lives, there will be a magnetism, an attraction.
