A day spent with the customers of Diamond Fruits, the local fruit shop.

ALBERT DRIVE TV is an artwork created by Basharat Khan with local people in Pollokshields, Glasgow, as part of the ALBERT DRIVE Project. ALBERT DRIVE TV was exhibited in Tramway and in shops on Albert Drive itself between 6th July and 11th August 2013 as part of the ALBERT DRIVE Exhibition.

ALBERT DRIVE TV explores the stories of the fascinating characters living in the area and the importance of the local business. Made by meeting people in their homes and in the local shops, this work aims to introduce you to the neighbours, their thoughts and their ideas, by screening the films in the places they visit most every day; the local shops.

ALBERT DRIVE is a large-scale creative project exploring the idea of neighbour and what it means to live alongside each other from the perspective of one street in Glasgow. The Project is co-produced by Glas(s) Performance and Tramway, and supported by Creative Scotland through the ‘First in a Lifetime’ Fund as part of Year of Creative Scotland and Awards for All.
