"A Choice to be Made"

The Scripture lesson for this morning is a portion of Moses’ final message to the Israelites. His leadership of God’s people was coming to an end as they stood prepared to cross the Jordan river into that long dreamed of “Promised Land.
• Then, as now, the walk of discipleship is not dominated by the concept of “arriving” at a destination of rest, comfort and complacent satisfaction. Rather, it has always been about the next step as day-by-day we make choices that either draw us closer in relationship to God or serve to distance us from him.
• Our lesson today will give us an opportunity to:
o Think through the health and vitality of our relationship with God
o And, be conscious of the trajectory that the path of our life is traveling.
