Luke 11:14-36
God did not send His only Son into our world in complete humility, to live a difficult life, suffer repeatedly for doing the right thing, and then present Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for sin for the judgment of sin we deserve—just to not care if we were indifferent to that act. We don’t come into the world neutral—we come in guilty. Then we prove our guiltiness in countless ways throughout our life. A neutral position towards God doesn’t exist in His eyes. We either choose to accept and honor His tremendous gift of mercy—or we choose to decline it. There is no neutral position He offers us. Jesus knew He was in a battle for hearts and minds with Satan and all the powers of Hell. Jesus knew people would be deceived into thinking they could just safely ignore the claims of Christ—so He presses the issue.
