After a cracking Blas Festival gig, the bands relaxed in the Mackays Hotel bar. The night was destined to be filled with song with so much musical talent in the room and a great Puirt-Off ensued.
Amongst those sitting around the table were some phenomenally talented people...and me!
* Raymond Bremner (Royal National Mod gold medalist, leader of the Melvich Gaelic Choir - two members of the choir were also at the table)
* Ainsley Hamill (Lead vocalist with Barluath - barluath.com/ - and graduate of The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland)
* James Graham (Royal National Mod gold medalist, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now Royal Conservitoire of Scotland) and a member of Cruinn - cruinn.net/)
* Brian Ó hEadhra (Singer and multi-instrumentalist, founding member of Anam, the Scottish Gaelic Arts & Culture Officer for Bòrd na Gàidhlig & Creative Scotland, and a member of Cruinn)
Also in attendance, fresh from their US tour (and joining in with the sing-song), were the golden boys of Gaelic music, Mànran (manran.co.uk/wp/).
