I took a short trip over to Alberta and spent a night at Lake Louise campsite with hopes of getting a morning sunrise at Moraine Lake. I showed up a little late and missed the best light (guess I gotta go back) but I still got some great footage for a little time lapse.
If you have ever been to this spot you know that it gets about 1000 - 1500 visitors per day at the height of tourist season. With there being two levels higher than where I set up I though for sure that I had set up in a good location and would be out of the way of the inevitable tourists. Right..... when the first bus load showed up I could tell that the people thought I had some special spot and wanted to shoot right beside my bright blue stage zero dolly. When bus number two showed up and there were about 30 people running around my tripod legs it was time to shut it all down and move on to another less traveled location.
I find my way back again soon and get there a good hour before the sunrise.
