Ya’ll are going to LOVE this one! Traveling to Biloxi for Angela and Mikael’s wedding, we were in for a giant dose of true southern hospitality and equal amounts of delicious southern cuisine. Angela returned to her southern roots for her wedding, which was even more colorful with Mikael’s Swedish influence! Goosebumps – that’s what you’ll get when you hear Mikael’s sister reading a darling Swedish wedding blessing to the couple. Did we mention cuisine?…um yes… starting from Chateau Blessey’s breakfasts of homemade french toast, shrimp and grits, baked grapefruit (and more – we were in serious Lucky Lemon heaven…) – to the true southern bbq at The Shed theshedbbq.com, we felt so welcomed and at home in Mississippi. The wedding couldn’t have been more beautiful on the steps of Beauvoir, the home of Jefferson Davis. The plantation style The Redding House was the perfect setting for Angela and Mikael’s intimate reception. This historic house lent perfectly to bring all of Mikael and Angela’s close friends and family together for a spectacular evening of dancing and fun. Oh, and the Swedish candy table was every kid’s dream (…and adult…) We are pretty sure ya’ll are going to fall in love with this amazing couple and amazing city just like we did. (Seriously grab a tissue)
Lastly, if you haven’t been to Biloxi we at Lucky Lemon Films highly suggest you visit and witness the strength of its people – and all the warmth that they share. We have so much admiration for the people of Biloxi for the strength and determination to not only rebuild after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, but continuing to have so much hope and love for the place they call home.
