This is a one take studio recording of the solo trombone work by Michael Davis. The music implies a strong funk beat and I thought a drum kit would enhance that feel. Brian Kushmaul kindly agreed to join me and created an excellent accompaniment. We performed the work many times and it worked especially well with younger audiences.
