Flying over the mountain sized sand dunes on the west coast of Michigan at Silver Lake. See Lake Michigan in the background.
We go airborne a couple of times.
A geologically significant place, this zone of giant dunes is strangely uncovered compared to the rest of the enormous dunes covered with trees all along the big lake.
The place is normally filled with dune buggies and 4x4s, this day was unusually open. it was a day after a holiday.
Lots of area to explore. And the wind is constantly rearranging and rebuilding the dunes. It is new every visit.
