Pamela Uschuk is a political activist, wilderness enthusiast and author of six books of poems, Finding Peaches in the Desert, One Legged Dancer, Scattered Risks, Without the Comfort of Stars: New and Selected Poems (Sampark Press, New Delhi and London), Crazy Love, winner of a 2010 American Book Award, and Wild in the Plaza of Memory.
The MFA Reading Series, presented by ASU's Creative Writing Program in the Department of English, brings notable writers to the ASU community for readings and discussions about writing and their literary works. All readings are free of charge, open to the public, and take place on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe. Past readers include Ian McEwan, Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, Richard Garcia, and Jennifer Spiegel.
