From his early teens, Davey Falcus was involved in organised crime and lived the life of a gangster. He was also known as Davey Tams and was born in Brampton (Cumbria) in 1966 and adopted at six weeks old after his mother died. At the age of five, death struck again, this time three of his adoptive grandparents an uncle and his adoptive mother. He was shattered, everyone Davey loved was taken away from him in the space of a few months.
At seven he was drinking, smoking and thieving. At thirteen, was in care, graduated from Borstal to Prison, working with the crime families of Newcastle's Notorious 'West End'. At 17 he was locked up after an armed siege with the police and at 18 jailed for dealing Heroin.
Davey's life was spiraling out of control.
On the 16th August 1995, he picked up a bible that had been left in his house by a friend. It said 'He who seeks finds'. Totally desperate and on the edge of suicide, Davey called out to Jesus Christ asking for forgiveness, he shouted until he got a response.
Over the years he got to know Jesus on a personal level. Jesus has totally transformed his life. Jesus showed Davey He had a plan for his life, Jesus has helped him to overcome many problems in his life and that has allowed him to help others. Davey was baptised in the Holy Spirit in 1997 (ActsCh 2) and has since travelled the world having many adventures with God.
This is a story of the reality of salvation and the amazing love and grace that we can all receive by giving it all over to Jesus by accepting him as Lord of our lives.
