In this session presents recent survey data from researchers, service providers and donors of critical issues in providing services to young adolescents and undertaking research with them. Guidelines for ethical approaches with be presented and discussed. [7 September 2022]

Robert Blum is the emeritus William H. Gates, Sr Professor at the Bloomberg School of Public Health and former Director of the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute. An author of over 325 publications, he has held prominent roles including Past-President of the Society for Adolescent Medicine and Health and chair positions at the Guttmacher Institute and the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Adolescent Health. Elected to the National Academy of Medicine, he has consulted for global organisations like The World Bank, UNICEF and WHO. In 2021, he led research for UNICEF’s report on Adolescent Mental Health.
