A short-film that questions the contemporary ways of teaching students. ‘Nausea’ is an attempt to display all that is wrong with the education system in the present times. It runs a full circle, starting with a professor, past the effect it has on students. The film portrays how “mugging up” and simply writing down exactly what the book says is encouraged, and trying to understand and writing answers with one’s own point-of-view is frowned upon. The film dwells into what really is the “teaching method” that is being followed by the educators today. It questions the current belief that it’s not about the amount of knowledge gained, but the amount that a student can cram.
The film is a subtle satire, hinting on the fact that it no longer matters how much students understand, as
long as they have enough words to fill up an answering sheet .
