AMC’s latest series ‘Pantheon’ is a sprawling sci-fi epic that blurs the line between the virtual and reality. ‘Pantheon’ is the collaborative brainchild of sci-fi author Ken Liu and television heavyweight Craig Silverstein. Both have had extensive careers telling daring stories that push the limitations of fiction and question the human condition. However, this series put their renowned reputations to the test while presenting a new challenge, animation. With the assistance of studio Titmouse, the result is a mature tale intertwined with a plethora of genre visuals. Over eight episodes, ‘Pantheon’ offers an intimate look at familial grieving that dares to ask the intimidatingly existential questions of subsistence.
