''Glass changes. It is not static, but a living thing.
It is a wonderfully expressive material that is magical to live with.''
From FHE Gallery:
'BRIM' showcases a stunning new series of work by Ann Robinson.
Years in the making- BRIM highlights the mastery within Robinson's workings, not only illustrating her technical ability as an artist; but also her understanding of how the right synergy of light, form and colour can bring each piece to life.
Ann Robinson's inspiring career spans over 20 years. Having been honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006 by the America Glass Art Society and recognised as a Laureate in 2004 by the New Zealand Arts Foundation, Robinson is now one if the leading cast-glass artists in the world.
Finding inspiration for her works in nature, she sees each of her vessels as a light-filled canvas on which to develop her own language- a personal poetry of images.
