MOMENT OF TOOTH (Collaborative project Directed by Stephan Ehl)
"Moment of Tooth" was created in ten weeks as part of a Savannah College of Art and Design collaborative class. It was an attempt at echoing the stop motion animated films. "Coraline" and "Paranorman" were important in constructing the overall aesthetic of the film while pieces like "Nocturna" and "Ratatouille" helped to influence the lighting and overall mood. Since we wanted to go with more realistic textures we wanted to juxtapose that with a more snappy and pose to pose type of animation.
The short was completed using Maya, 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Mental ray, Nuke, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro.
