Visiting the site of the worst civil nuclear accident in history. Located 110 km north of Kiev lies the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. On April 26th 1986 the explosion of Block 4 set free huge amounts of radiation. Until today the 5km exclusion zone is prone to huge levels of radiation and can only be visited for a short time. The zone will be inhabitable for the next 20.000 years.
This video takes you to the places around the power plant, the city of Chernobyl, the city of Pripyat and as close as 200m to the sarcophagus built around Block #4.
Until today it stands there as a monument and symbol for the failure of men to control technology, for failed design and reckless ignorant stupidity.
Lets not forget.
