The Soviet II WW torpedo boat Tupolev G-5 wreck was found by Polish Sea Authority in November 2012. The first dive was made by Tomasz Stachura, Dimitris Stavrakakis & Jarosław Kur on 9th January 2013. The video was made during this dive by Jarosław Kur.
Video editing for recognition and identification was made by Daniel Pastwa.
Final identification of the wreck was made in May 2013 by Daniel Pastwa, after a thorough research.
It sank in the Gulf of Gdansk probably as a result of the collision, after the end of World War II.
This is evidenced by the minor damage to the hull - the wreck is lacking about 2 meters of the bow and the absence of historical data in Russian and German archives, about losses or sinkings of such ships during the war in the Gulf of Gdansk.
The wreck lies on the keel, at depth of 60 meters.
The movie was made as a recognition and identification video for the Polish Sea Authority, so excuse me Polish subtitles.
