(Ashtanga Yoga Full Primary series. Refinement and advanced transitions.)
This class follows the traditional Ashtanga Yoga Primary series sequence and counts. We will start in the traditional way with the opening chant and go through all of the poses and vinyasas. If you are new to Ashtanga yoga, I have 4 week beginner series starting here (blackswanyoga.tv/channels/video/ashtanga-yoga-for-beginners-week-1) so please take this course first. This class will provides advanced next steps for those who are already familiar with the sequence and poses. We will focus on transitions between poses, as well as the poses themselves. By adding these advanced transitions to your daily practice, you will build the stamina, strength and also more fun challenges to work on. This is meant to be a life-long practice. If you cannot get into any of the poses in the sequence, do not get discouraged. You are supposed to take time and enjoy the path in each pose.
