Don North, 75, Vancouver, B.C.: I was very excited to meet Don. His son, Glen, is one of the entertainers aboard the Pride of America. When Glen told me that his father was a writer and photojournalist since Vietnam AND that he was coming aboard, I couldn't believe my luck. I've been so curious about the business side of photojournalism and found almost nothing on the internet. Here was someone who could possibly shed some light on the subject. Don's advice: "Go to Syria."
Great travel advice aside, it was a real pleasure to meet Don. He was warm, funny, extremely well traveled, and filled to the rafters with incredible stories. It was a great stroke of luck to interview him for this portrait series. to interview him for this portrait series.
