The main problem is lack of early warning symptoms. But a new report in JAMA, and reprinted in BMJ now shows that simple aspirin can effectively reduce mortality rate after surgical intervention. In a large trial of 1300 cancer patients, aspirin improved survival, and the sooner it was started the better.
