From 9.-13. September 2013, 160 developers from Mozilla and partners like Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom, Qualcomm and device manufacturers were gathered to work on the next release of Firefox OS. The main objective of the work week was bringing together people who normally work in different locations around the world (Tai Pei, San Francisco, Seattle, Paris, Berlin++) so they can solve issues and make plans. The event was hosted by Telenor, who is one of the strategic partners of Mozilla and will be launching Firefox OS in their markets soon. Developers from the Firefox OS team in Comoyo, the software engineering unit in Telenor, were of course present, as they are working both on contributing to the OS itself, and looking at how Telenor services (e.g. operator billing) can add value to users of the OS.
