This is a compilation of "experiments" that are evidence of my journey into stop motion this semester and the basis for assessment. It was a valuable learning experience, from playing with sets & set designs (many I forgot to photograph) composition, and characters, to working on what type of stop motion was a better choice for my personal challenges, to recognising the need to brush up my photography, lighting and other skills while trying to implement animation principles. The key lessons I take away are good planning, and audio a must, strap the camera so it isn't bumped or knocked. Next challenge is to lip synch and continue to experiment with different media. This has been a delightful journey and I look forward to more "experiments" before I do a short stop motion piece.
