Life in the village wasn't bad––until the nuclear war destroyed it. The villagers, led by headman Sam Baahuhd, crowd into the gigantic underground bomb shelter Jeremy Edgarton built on the estate. Ninety-five go into the shelter––ninety-three villagers plus Arthur, a commando who volunteered to go underground. He's the only one who can read or work the computerized systems. And then there's Emily, a beat-up but beautiful woman Sam finds wandering in the pasture. That's where the trouble started.
