Last Finland show
Staying the week doing shows in the same area meant we could spend more time with people. T (guy) and M (girl) were at our Kouvola show, follow-up party and then came with us on the bus the next day for another show, our last one in Finland.
Their stories are similar to many Finish young people - families destroyed by alcohol, domestic violence, hopelessness and suicide attempts. But this was a different day for them, in a family like atmosphere. We had various great conversations and times of prayer and at the end of the day they kept telling us how thankful they were for that time. After we left we got messages from M telling us that we were her "circus-like family". She and another friend wrote to us: "We've been thinking about God and Jesus really much. Our minds are really open now."
The show was organised by another group of christians, friends of ours, who are establishing a home-group type church in a neighbourhood in Helsinki known for being home to immigrants and a less affluent population. We had a small but attentive crowd and various good conversations at the end.
The church in Kouvola where we stayed, near Helsinki, expressed their gratitude as we left, and shared how they are inspired to keep doing this kind of ministry here. Now its up to them to care for those touched in the shows, like T, M and her friend. Please pray for them.
