econnexus.org/sbwind - A time lapse video showing the installation of the South Brent Community Energy Society's "remanufactured" Vestas V27 wind turbine in late August 2013.
The society's wind turbine is an original Vestas V27, a classic 3-bladed design with an overall diameter of 27m mounted on a tapered steel monopole 31m high. It spent the first part of its life in Sweden before being refurbished and moved to South Devon in August 2013. It features two speed operation and full blade pitch control for maximum efficiency.
It is sited at the eastern end of the parish of South Brent in Devon, near Marley Head, and equidistant from Marley Thatch, Lisburne and Edeswell Farms.
