This is a case study showing the usage of a time lapse HDR sky dome, used both as a background and also to light the scene using image based lighting. Created and rendered with 3ds Max and VRay.
The HDR time-lapse sky dome footage is made up of 354 individual EXR frames, and was shot over the course of 2 hours during sunset. The images are fully hemispherical and measure 9500 pixels around.
