Part one of a three-part series regarding improving student evaluations/assessment. The Student Evaluation Standards is the product of a collaborative effort sponsored by 16 national and international organizations and certified by ANSI. This session will focus on The Student Evaluation Standards and how they serve student evaluations by providing guidelines for student evaluations in the classroom. Specifically, the presenter will discuss how the standards were created, why they are important, how they can be applied, and case examples to show what can go wrong when these standards are not followed. The four attributes of evaluation practice that educators strive to meet will also be introduced.
