Anonymity was made in 2008 mainly using a domestic MP4 recorder, a mobile phone and discarded 16mm negative for a zero budget. The music was scored by Aki Zekrya, a percussionist musician and former Afghan refugee and the narration was inspired by an anti-oppression blog website. The film was shortlisted at the Festival of Peace in Italy and was later selected for the Nomad Project Paradox Art Fair in Paris. It was then selected for distribution by Tribeca Film Institute's T-Frame Collection where it was a best seller.
