BROKEN is a feature length documentary about:
William is a 19 year old homeless youth living in Sacramento, California. On July 17th, he & his girlfriend, Krystal, meet Candice Nite (me) - a filmmaker & humanitarian. Thier lives change forever on July 19th, when William & Krystal are told by police that they must leave the park they're living in, and Candice Nite sets out on a hopeless mission to get them off the streets and into school.
In just weeks, William & Krystal find themselves in an apartment with new friends and food to eat. More imprtantly, they find the motivation to turn their lives around. This is a story of the ability of one person to greatly impact the lives of others when given the support of a whole community. Candice Nite could not have done this without the support of others.
**The film's purpose is twofold: Spread awareness about homeless youth, inspire people into action. If we all agreed to help just one person, the changes would be immense.
This film is by Candice Nite. She has a small team helping her get this film through its final stages of editing and graphic & web design. Our collegiate qualifications are listed in the funding video above. Nite has six years of writing experience that began with her Creative Writing studies at San Francisco State University, and three years of filmmaking experience that began at the Art Institute of CA - Sacramento - where she met the other filmmakers and graphic designer on this project.
