Filmed on the streets of Derry/Londonderry in July 2013 "The Hypnotist" showcases the abilities of Chris Burton, a self taught hypnotist from Northern Ireland. This is the first in a special two part series where he demonstrates the ‘lighter’ comedy side of hypnosis. Various volunteers have been influenced to perform random acts beyond their control. Be amazed as they’re unleashed onto the unsuspecting public often with humorous consequences.
You're invited to join us and watch as someone believes Elton John is busking on the streets, Sarah spots some celebrities in the City of Culture and tries to get their autographs, Connor gets hypnotised without knowing it, Ethan falls in love, Dylan dishes out some fashion advice and much more!
Remember, NO stooges or actors have been used in the making of this film. Everything you see is REAL.

Since the age of 7 Chris has had an insatiable interest in hypnotism, after being captivated by Paul McKenna on television. Initially self-taught then later trained by Master Hypnotists, Paul Goldin and Adrian Knight, Chris is one of Ireland's up-and- coming entertainers with the aim of de- mystifying the subject, hoping to educate as well as entertain his audience. He is 29 years old and holds a First Class (Hons.) Degree. He is also a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and ITANLP Practitioner. With countless hours of personal study, clinical practice, theatre experience and performances Chris’ unique blend of humour and wit coupled with a highly personal approach to hypnotic influence makes him someone you’ll remember for a very long time.
