The Efterski Festival music kicked off on a fresh Thursday afternoon, with acoustic and DJ sets warming party-goers into the weekend ahead. Revelers enjoyed warm Rekorderlig Winter Cider’s around the fire pits, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Snowy Mountains. Throughout the evening other lively performances spread throughout the village, with Thursday’s headline act Sosueme DJ’s jumping on the decks, playing to a packed Schuss Bar.
With Friday came more acts, and more fun. The Rekorderlig Cider Hot Pool Party was the focal point for the afternoon, with a mind blowing performance by one-man band Jack Man Friday. His incredible skill and talent had the whole audience in awe of his ability to entertain the crowd with his Loop machine and electrifying vocals. The Rekorderlig Street Stage on Friday night also saw The Delta Riggs perform a killer set, which concluded the live performances for the day.
Saturday marked the music highlight of the festival, with headliners scheduled to perform from 4pm at the Rekorderlig Street Stage. The audience were more than ecstatic to witness a live performance by Australian electronic act RÜFÜS, playing songs from their #1 debut album ‘ATLAS’ and hits from their EP. Alison Wonderland followed with her ever-engaging blend of old school hip hop tracks, mixed in with some more recent popular tunes. Homegrown duo Hermitude, never one to disappoint, walked on to the stage and immediately had the unwavering attention of the entire crowd. To finish, Kele (Bloc Party) graced the Rekorderlig Street Stage, demonstrating his passion for music with an energetic and epic DJ set. The crowd were in love!
Following the Rekorderlig Street Stage, stand out acts such as World’s End Press, Furnace & the Fundamentals and the Bleeding Knees Club performed to a packed crowd at the Kosciusko Stage. Efterski Festival exceeded all expectations, the first-time event showcasing an incredible line-up to a sold-out crowd.
